The Brazil Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka was the stage for a tribute on National Day, on June 21. The event was attended by the president of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana; the mayor of Kakogawa, Yasuhiro Okada; and federal deputy Luiz Nishimori.
The trophy features sakura and ipê flowers, representing the union between Brazil and Japan. The tribute is also for the 130 years of diplomatic relations between Brazil and Japan. The tribute was an action by businesspeople from the community.
The Brazil Pavilion is organized by ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). There are two buildings totaling one thousand square meters. Curator Bia Lessa created five acts that represent “Exist”, “Differ”, “Confluence”, “Extinguish” and “Re-exist”. The goal is for visitors to evaluate how to live in harmony with nature to preserve the planet.
Expo Osaka 2025 continues until October 13. This Universal Exposition takes place every five years in different countries. This year, in Osaka, it brings together more than 160 countries.
