On August 28, the Ambassador of Brazil in Japan, Eduardo Saboia; and Ambassador João de Mendonça Neto, from Consulate General of Brazil n Tokyo, visited the J-TREC in Kanagawa, where there are TMK facilities.

The Ambassadors met the president of J-TREC (Japan Transport Engineering Company), Takao Nishiyama. He showed the Sustina trains that are the next generation of this kind of transportation.

Sustina trains have high corrosion resistance, high strength, reduced power consumption and other benefits.

Ambassadors Saboia and Mendonça knew how a train is made from the production of the pieces to the assembly of the wagon. They also met Brazilians in TMK facilities who produce 3D drawings, weld and assemble the trains.

The CEO of TMK, Tomio Tadocoro, said “the visit of the Ambassadors was excellent in order to verify Japanese technology for rail and how Brazilians are part of this story”.
