The TMK had opened a branch in Niigata to assemble parts for trains since December of last year. The manufacturing of parts, in principle, is in the Yokohama branch.
The CEO of TMK, Adilson Tadocoro, explains that the goal is to build a complete unit in Niigata within two years. He is already planning to acquire new equipments for Niigata.
The production consists of manufacturing trains for the Yamanote Line that operate in Tokyo.
